Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball suffered a disappointing 93-83 home loss to Olin Edirne at the Arena today.

The teams swapped baskets in the early going with the Black and White up by two, 7-5, at the halfway point. The Eagles then used a late spurt to stretch the margin to 28-18 by the end of first. Getting back-to-back three-pointers from the hot shooting duo of Serhat Çetin and Mire Chatman, they pushed their lead into double digits early in the second stanza, but failed to contain Edirne’s Seibutis as he shined with consecutive layups to bring his team within 45-37 at the intermission.  
The Black and Whites were able to rebuild their advantage to ten, 53-43, on a 12-footer by Mire Chatman with 7:05 to go in the third, only to see the visitors respond with a 11-0 burst that pulled them ahead 55-53 midway through the quarter. Cevher Özer hit some clutch buckets to reclaim the lead for Beşiktaş Cola Turka, but Seibutis’ hot hand got into the action again in the closing minutes to give its side a 67-63 edge, entering the fourth.  The score remained tight in the final quarter until Olin Edirne put together a late rally to emerge with a 93-83 victory.
