Panküp Kayseri Şeker 74, Beşiktaş Cola Turka 67

Visiting Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball fell 74-67 to Panküp Kayseri Şeker in Game 2 of the Turkish League quarterfinal playoffs at Kadir Has Sports Hall. 

Thanks to a flurry of three-pointers by Salkauske and Marques, the Lady Eagles raced to a 11-4 lead midway through the opening quarter, only to see Kayseri Şeker use a 7-0 run to pull within one, 15-14, by the end of first. Beşiktaş Cola Turka opened the second frame on a 12-0 run, but Pınar Demirok teamed up with Sanford and started nailing shot after shot, which erased the deficit and gave the home side a 31-30 edge with 3:00 to go. The teams traded buckets rest of the way, but a buzzer-beater trey by Esra Erden Ataç helped Beşiktaş’s ladies take a 43-37 advantage into the break.
The Lady Eagles remained in front for most of the third stanza until Bahar Öztürk made a layup to tie the game at 52-52 with 2:10 left. From then on, it was a seesaw affair, with Beşiktaş Cola Turka going into the fourth with to a slim 56-55, advantage on Santos’ last second 8-footer. While the host refused to miss, Santos managed to keep Beşiktaş ahead deep into the fourth stanza, but a late 9-0 run propelled Panküp Kayseri Şeker past the Lady Eagles, 74-67.    
Santos and Marques each scored 13 points for Beşiktaş Cola Turka, followed by Sales(12), Tuğba Taşcı (8), Nilay Kartaltepe (6), Salkauske (6), Esra Erden Ataç  (5), and Yasemin Horasan (4).  
Since the teams split their regular season games, the Lady Eagles now trail 2-1 in the series. The Game 3 will take place at Akatlar Cola Turka arena on Monday, March 28th at 17:30.
