Beşiktaş Men’s Volleyball lost the Teledünya Turkish Cup semifinal in straight sets to Fenerbahçe at the Baskent Volleyball Hall today.

The arch-rivals started the opening set strong and led 8-1 and 16-9 at the technical timeouts on their way to a 25-16 win. The Black Eagles looked more lively in the early going of the second as they held an 8-4 advantage by the first technical, but  Fenerbahçe rallied back behind a string of kills to take the second technical 16-13 and the set 25-20. 
Fenerbahçe maintained its superiority in the third set, leading 8-6 and 16-9 at the technical timeouts en route to a 25-17 win and a three-set sweep. On Saturday, Beşiktaş will play the loser of the other semifinal match between Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi and Arkasspor for third place.
