“Some may feel disappointed with the result, but let’s not forget, TBV Lemgo is the reigning European Champion, and they had to play real hard in both matches to knock us out. As you all witnessed today, if we were a bit lucky down the stretch, the situation would be completely different by now. We nevertheless managed to come back from five goals down to level the scores against one of Europe’s best. I am not disappointed because we have showed everyone what Beşiktaş is truly made of. I commend my players for the passion, effort and hard work they put into today’s game.”
