Beşiktaş Cola Turka 98, Aliağa Petkim 74

In Week 18 action of the Turkish Basketball League, Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball rolled over the visiting Ali Ağa Petkim, 98-74, on Sunday.

Both teams failed to gain any leverage in the early going and were tied at 10-10 midway through the opening quarter. But a flurry of late layups by Kambala helped the visitors close out the first quarter ahead, 20-14.
Playing zone defense, the Black and Whites kept the visitors away from the basket in the second frame and received consecutive three pointers from Chatman and Bekir to tie the game at 28 with 4:05 left. They retained their fast-paced momentum in the remaining minutes and jumped in front, 44-39, at halftime.
Aliağa Petkim also turned to zone defense in the third but failed to stop Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s outside shots as the gap grew to 17 points, 75-18, entering the fourth.
Led by Mire Chatman, who finished with 20 points, 7 boards and 8 assists, the Eagles never looked back in the final quarter on their way to a comfortable 98-74 victory.
