“Following last week’s loss to Büyükşehir Belediyespor, we needed an urgent win to make up for the lost ground. We were up against a well-organized side today, but we should have won in any case. For some unknown reasons, we did not play our usual game in this one and ended up disappointing everyone. We showed some signs of life after the equaliser but failed to convert our chances. We apologize from all our fans.
Not having our regulars Guti and Quaresma, who was suffering from flu, on our starting lineup took the bite out of us. We missed them a lot today. If we do not want to fall further behind the league leaders, from now on, we have to win all our remaining matches. It is a difficult task but it is possible.”
