Beşiktaş JK Spokesperson Dr. Mete Düren gave our website the latest on Allen Iverson’s condition:

“Below is Dr. James Andrews’s report delivered to us yesterday on Iverson, who is undergoing a series tests in USA to diagnose his problems:   
1-After a through examination of Mr.Iverson’s right leg lesion, it has been established that it is ectopic calcification and not a tumoral formation.
2- The calcification has been detected at a very rare location, and there are only 4 other similar cases in medical history.
3- Surgery has been found risky in these cases, and injection treatment is applied to reduce calcification.
4- It is recommended that Mr. Iverson rest until May 2011, and if his complaints still continue, a surgical intervention may be possible.”
Mete Düren said, Beşiktaş Board would discuss the matter and come up with a decision in the days ahead.
