Ekrem Dağ: Since they beat us in the group match, we started this one rather cautiously, however as the game wore on, we managed to take control and started scoring back-to-back goals. We struggled to find the first goal a little, but after that the rest was easy. I am glad to be back after sitting out such a long time with an injury. To be frank, I am not hundred percent fit, so besides training, I need to play as many games as possibly to regain my earlier form. But this is up to our Manager as I’ll wait and see what the future holds for me.” 

Thomas Sivok: “We are all pleased to win big tonight and take a five-goal advantage to Gaziantep. It was important that we didn’t let them score any goals against us because a single away goal matters a lot in two-legged cup ties. Therefore, we kept our defence tight all match long. The good part was, unlike other games, our midfield and forward line also helped us out tonight. A defence can be effective only if every player participates in it. We are an offensive team, but we have to pay attention to the team defence whenever it is required in a game.”
