Beşiktaş President Yıldırım Demirören issued the following message regarding the new season;

We made very important transfers that will strengthen our Team in order that our Beşiktaş may compete at the top level and reach targets that befit its name in the new season.
We also added world stars Ailton and Kleberson to our colors beside the talented stars of Turkey.
We started to see the first signs of what this strong roster could do with our Technical Director Rıza Çalımbay, who we are proud of starting with the first games.
It delights me greatly to witness the enthusiasm of our fans while watching our fighting Team that bears the Beşiktaş spirit on the field. I feel excitement as much as you do when I watch this Team.
I thank our fans for their great support and the press for the interest that they showed in our Team.
We shall not forget that we are at the beginning of a long league and the European marathon. We have a long way ahead of us. We shall act with the consciousness of this and be patient.
Our Team will undoubtedly complete the adaptation period in the coming weeks and convey its performance to much higher levels.
Our Community continuing the same support throughout the season would be the most important factor that would convey us to success.
