Goal keeper Volkan Ünlü, who had been transferred from Schalke 04, signed a 2-year contract before the press.

Kıvanç Oktay, Vice President in charge of Football Branch, and the member of the Board of Directors Süleyman Eren were present at the signature ceremony. Kıvanç Oktay said “We realized Volkan’s transfer based on the monitoring team’s reports. He is a very young player. God willing, he will wear Beşiktaş uniform for many years. I hope that transfer of Volkan, who is also in the Junior Nation Team, will bring good results for everyone.”
Whereas Volkan Ünlü said “To be honest, being transferred to a team like Beşiktaş is a magnificent event. I am sure any Turkish young man who is interested in football would like to be in my position. I want to pay my debt to those who realized my transfer to Beşiktaş through the great football which I will play in the coming days.
