Technical Director Rıza Çalımbay stated that it had been experienced a historical night and that he was happy for winning despite the conditions against Beşiktaş from all angles.

Çalımbay said: \"There were no such mistakes committed against a team until this year. The mistakes that had been committed against Beşiktaş continued also tonight. The referee not only awarded a penalty and but also showed Cordoba a red card although he hadn’t touched his opponent. This was a very heavy decision. We managed to win despite this.
