Fenerbahçe: 3 Beşiktaş: 4

Beşiktaş Football Team beat Fenerbahçe 4-3 at the away game. Thanks to the goals by Tümer, John Carew, İbrahim Akın and Koray Avcı, Beşiktaş won a historical victory at the competition where only 10 players had remained on the field.

Bülent Demirbilek was the referee of the game and Black and Whites started with their nostalgia uniforms which they wore in the 100th year (2002-2003). The game set off in a very rapid pace where two teams were trying to go to opponent’s goal via fast attacks. Despite Fenerbahçe seemed to be more effective in the first 10 minutes by means of the advantage of being the home team, Beşiktaş went up by 1-0 with Tümer Metin in the 27th minute. Fenerbahçe leveled the score with Luciano (1-1). Beşiktaş went to the locker room leading the game 2-1 following John Carew's magnificent goal from his head shot in the extra time of the first half.
Beşiktaş wrote almost an epic in the 2nd half of the competition. In the 69th minute of the game Fenerbahçe balanced the game and equalized the score with Alex  to 2-2. After that, İbrahim Akın sent the ball coming from Ahmet Hassan’s pass into Fenerbahçe’s net through a terrific shot outside the penalty area in the 76th minute and Black and Whites went up 3-2.
Bülent Demirbilek who had evaluated Tuncay throwing himself on the ground in our penalty area as a penalty, showed Oscar Cordoba, who had already a yellow card in the first half, his 2nd yellow card afterwards and hence the red card with a very heavy decision and left Beşiktaş 10 players and without a goalkeeper in the 79th minute. Daniel Pancu obliged to take the post as the goalkeeper since Beşiktaş had already used its right to substitute 3 players until that minute. Alex scored the penalty hit and brought the goals to 3-3. Fenerbahçe, which wanted to attack in order to grab the lead over Beşiktaş that was playing with 10 players and without a goalkeeper, could not pass Pancu; whereas it was The Black Eagle that had scored the winning goal of the epic night with Koray. Koray Avcı, who took the stage on 90+3rd minute, dropped the ball in the opponent's net with a marvelous shot and enabled Beşiktaş to taste an unforgettable victory in Kadıköy where Beşiktaş had not lost a single game since 4 years.
