Presidents’ Meeting

Upon invitation of Mr. Levent Bıçakçı, President of Turkish Football Association, a summit meeting was held in Istanbul with the participation of the presidents of 4 biggest clubs in Turkey. 

Yıldırım Demirören, Chairman of Beşiktaş, Özhan Canaydın, Chairman of Galatasaray, and Atay Aktuğ, Chairman of Trabzonspor has participated to the invitation of Turkish Football Association and Nihat Özdemir, Vice-Chairman of Fenerbahçe has represented Aziz Yıldırım, Chairman of Fenerbahçe, who was declared that currently abroad.
The president and managers have attended to a lunch after a meeting that lasted for almost 2 hours and then they have appeared in front of the media cameras with the “Please!” pins, a campaign of the association, and given friendship poses.
   
Levent Bıçakcı, President of the Association has stated that they have invited chairmen of clubs in order to discuss the recently increased speculations about the soccer games and said, “We have reached an agreement. From now on each club will make declarations only about themselves”.
Bıçakcı also mentioned that they have exchanged ideas in order to improve the quality and to increase the values of the league and Turkish soccer and added, “Next season, as being the federation, we would put these works into effect.”
