In Game 5 of the best-of-seven series at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall ,teams were neck-and-neck throughout the opening quarter and went into the second stanza with Efes in front, 15 -12. The blue and white hosts maintained their superiority over the poor-shooting Eagles in the second quarter as they open up a 38-32 lead at the intermission. Beşiktaş Milangaz began to knock down their shots in the third and managed to pull ahead, 57-53, before final frame. However, Efes refused to surrender and rallied late to send the game into overtime with a 73-73 tie. The extra 5 minutes saw the hosts regain their previous rhythm and win with a last-second bucket, which cut the Eagles’ series lead to 3-2.
